LinkWise vs Marqly: finding a bookmark is not the same as reusing it
Marqly is a bookmark manager that finds things. LinkWise keeps readable sources, lets you ask with citations, and exports Markdown to Obsidian. Stay if find-in-library already closes the loop.
The short answer
Stay with Marqly if the job is a fast, visual bookmark library: boards, search, clipper, mobile. That slogan—“the bookmark manager that finds things”—is a real job.
Try LinkWise if finding the card is not enough. You need the article body or YouTube transcript, an answer that cites a passage, and a Markdown file you can keep.

Same category label, different next step
Both save URLs. Marqly optimizes retrieval of bookmarks. LinkWise optimizes return to the words after save: confirm keywords, Free keyword search, Pro meaning search, cited Ask, Obsidian-ready export.
AI tags on a title card do not change the job. If you still retrieve by scanning a board, you still have a collection app—even if search is semantic.
Where Marqly is ahead
Completion and surfaces. Marqly’s footer tells the story: iOS and Android apps, public boards, a dense compare matrix against Pocket, Raindrop, Readwise. LinkWise 1.0 is web plus Chrome / Edge / Firefox. We are not pretending otherwise.

Where LinkWise goes further
After the hit list: readable text when the page allows it; public-caption transcripts; Ask that must point at a save; files out (HTML, CSV, JSON, Markdown). Failures stay visible. We do not treat a 200 OK shell as a successful archive.
Who should not switch
If Marqly search already returns the right card in seconds, keep it. If you live on mobile boards, wait. If you need a chat vault over PDFs, look at Recall-shaped tools, not us.

Save five links you failed to reuse last month. Search with the idea, not the title. Open the reader. Ask one question that needs a citation. Export one Markdown file. Then decide.
